ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Intermediate Accountant, this role provides vital support in accounting processes and compliance within the team. It involves assisting with the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, BAS, and other regulatory obligations.
The position requires a developing understanding of accounting principles, tax legislation, and a variety of business structures. Working within a collaborative and professional environment, the role supports ongoing budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting activities, while also offering exposure to a diverse client base and a range of industries. This is a valuable opportunity to strengthen core accounting capabilities and grow within a supportive, mid-tier firm environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation and review of financial statements, BAS, FBT, payroll tax, and other compliance obligations

Assisting with bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis

Applying emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes

Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting activities

Contributing to the accurate application of GST, capital gains tax, and other relevant taxation matters

Collaborating effectively within the team to ensure quality outcomes

ABOUT YOU
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or business advisory
-
CA qualification completed or actively pursuing
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline
-
Strong attention to detail with sound analytical skills
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Proficient with accounting software such as Xero and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
-
Self-motivated, organised, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
